Our latest creation pays homage to one of the most sacred animals in Greek mythology and tradition, the Taurus (Bull). A symbol of raw power harnessed by humans as portrayed in Hercules’ Cretan Bull feat. It is also a symbol of transformation and ingenuity, when Zeus transformed into a bull to entice the beautiful Europa. Bull festivals dedicated to Apollo have been documented in Lesvos from ancient times. The tradition has persevered, changed and adapted all the way to our times with bull festivals being a focal point bringing the inhabitants together.

The Taurus is the culmination of a eight-month process. It brings together iconic ingredients, harnesses their power and binds them together to improve the formula used in our Faena shaving soaps. As Theseus searched in the Labyrinth with the help of Ariadne to find Minotaur, the son of the Cretan Bull of Minoas and came out victorious, such was our 7 month endeavor to improve the formula already used in our Faena shaving soaps.

The addition of water buffalo milk from Northern Greece gently melds with the renowned Greek goat yoghurt to become the central piece of this new formula. They combine to improve the cleansing and nourishment factors. The addition of organic shea butter and peach kernel oil enhance the conditioning properties and the gliding of the new formula. Aloe vera and home crafted St. John’s wort oil tame the end-result to eliminate skin irritation.

This soap is 150gr and has a fragrance of musk, whisky and wood.

Usage Directions:

In contrast to the other Faena shaving soaps, this formula requires minimum water on the shaving brush. Rinse the brush well and load the soap for 15-20 seconds. Face lather and add drops of water if needed.

NO PARABENS/SULFATES/PAlM OIL

Stearic acid, tallow, aqua (water),  butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, potassium hydroxide, prunus persica (peach) kernel oil, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, sodium hydroxide, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, goat yoghurt, glycerin, lanolin, buffalo milk, kaolin, hypericum perforatum extract in olea europaea fruit oil, chamomille recutita (matricaria) flower, silk amino acids, dehydroacetic acid (and) benzyl alcohol, allantoin, tocopherol, parfum/fragrance.
